First-Aid Kit
The following is a list for your first aid kit. Customize yours to fit your household.
- acetaminophen - pain relievers
- diphenhydramine - antihistamine
- decongestant
- liquid antacid
- hydrocortisone anit-itch ointment
- First aid spray - for sun burn
- butterfly closures
- sterile dressings (squares, rolls)
- adhesive first aid tape
- cotton balls
- tweezers
- scissors
- ipecac syrup (to induce vomiting)
- thermometers (rectal, oral, forehead strip)
- hot/cold pack
- cloth triangle for sling
- bandaid plastic strips - all sizes
- hydrogen peroxide
- antibiotic ointment
- Protective gloves
- Face shield for CPR
- Other specialized items such as insulin, inhalers, heart or seizure medicine, oxygen.
This is not a complete kit for everyone. Remember each child is different. So your kit may need other items. Check with your Doctor to see if you need anything else.
