Foster Care Manual: Behavior Plan Policy
Behavior plans are a very helpful tool when used as part of a behavior shaping plan. It is recommended that a behavior plan be developed for any child regularly exhibiting unacceptable behaviors. A simple plan lists the rules to be followed, the consequences for following or not following the rules, and some sort of documentation system for keeping track of the child’s daily progress. These plans are to be developed jointly between the provider parents and the client supervisor.
